Luckless Calgary suffers 14th straight loss in Anaheim

His coach might not be too concerned, but the Ducks' Cam Fowler has experienced a dropoff in his offensive game as he tries to improve his play in his own end.

After going minus-25 in 2010-11, Fowler has put his focus on his defensive game this season, which pleases Ducks coach Bruce Boudreau. But there has been a cost—he has just three goals and 15 assists.

"I don't think you can ever worry about defense too much because that's what I do," Fowler said. "My job is to keep the puck out of the net. And it's tough as an offensive defenseman to try to play that lockdown (defense) and try to get your points and contribute offensively.

"For whatever reason, the points haven't quite come for me as they did last year.
